      <title>After Today's Presidential Election... What's Next?</title>

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;After today&amp;rsquo;s Presidential election... what&amp;rsquo;s next?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt; Today, like most of you I lack a crystal ball on the outcome. However, what I do know for certain that today&amp;rsquo;s election is about the future of our economy. And for those of us who remain in real estate there are too many issues on the table not only for our small businesses but also for the opportunities home ownership and real investment bring to every community. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;span&gt;What I wonder about today is our post-election economy.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt; Many of us have customers and clients on the fence until after the election.They could not make decisions because of the uncertainty that surrounds any close election race. However, tomorrow many of them will be having kitchen table conversations. They will be deciding whether they can afford to sell their home in their local real estate market. Others will decide if it is a good time to buy for their bottom line. Many of them will be calling us to find out our expert opinion about our local real estate market. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;span&gt;I am still thinking about my answers.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt; I&amp;rsquo;m wondering if you are too.       <title>Monitor Your Credit Score For Free With CreditKarma</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;img title="Jumping Through Credit Hoops" src="http://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/1/9/1/5/8/ar129096307285191.jpg" height="304" alt="EmilyMedvec.Graphic.Credit" width="300"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt; Are you tired of jumping in and out of credit bureau hoops online to figure out and even monitor your credit score?&lt;/strong&gt; You are not alone, especially if you are in the process of securing financing to purchase a home or even invest in real esate. Let's face it, credit scores are really important today after the housing market crash. It may be a buyer's market everywhere, but the key to a mortgage will be based on our credit score.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Although, you are allowed to obtain a free credit report from each of the big three credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, each one will charge you a separate fee for your score. I highly recommend &lt;a href="http://www.annualcreditreport.com"&gt;annualcreditreport.com&lt;/a&gt; as a quick and secure way to to get your free credit report. &lt;strong&gt;However, the reports are scoreless because the major&amp;nbsp;credit agencies&amp;nbsp;were not required by law to give you your score for free.&lt;/strong&gt; You have to wonder why or you can write your elected officials who created this loophole.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I am finished with paying the credit bureaus for access to my score.&lt;/strong&gt; I have discovered another&amp;nbsp;option to review, monitor and track&amp;nbsp;my credit score online. The service is provided by &lt;a href="http://www.creditkarma.com"&gt;creditkarma.com&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp;It is gaining some interest in the industry and I suggest it to all my customers and clients. &lt;strong&gt;The company lets you check your score for free. You do not get to see your credit report, only your score.&lt;/strong&gt; I recommend using both sites in tandem: one to obtain your report history and the other to monitor your score. Yes, you do have to tell them who you are so they can verify your name, address and social security number. I am comfortable with the security system they have in place to protect me from identity theft. By the way, checking your credit score on a monthly basis does not negatively impact your credit score or your credit. It will educate you about the impact of your debt and spending&amp;nbsp;habits on your ability to borrow when you are ready to enter the housing market.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Regardless of whether you use any of these two free sites, when it comes to borrowing money, your credit report and credit score will make the difference.&amp;nbsp;Before you spend endless hours searching for&amp;nbsp;real estate online or going to open houses, know your score.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;div class="agent_signature"&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Relocating to Santa Fe, New Mexico can be an opportunity to connect with blue skies, clean air and an occasional endangered species.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt; This was my experience this morning. Although this young creature is endangered, she is not dangerous. In fact, although she looks like a relative of the dinosaur age, she was moving in today as a tenant on my land. We exchanged glances this morning when I was watering a wild mountain mahogany bush just at sunrise while she was busy eating a breakfast of tiny ants. She must have know I had my iphone and paused long enough for me to make this image and tell you her story.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;span&gt;She is a Horned Toad and sometimes called a Horned Frog. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;However, she is not a toad or frog. She is amazingly smart lizard who was looking for a safe haven to continue growing up. Nearly every year, her many great great grandmothers have returned to this same mountain mahogany bush to begin the next generation. I have been fortunate to share the land with them. I hope they continue to come back every year and they can make into the next century and beyond. If you see one, smile and thank them for letting you cross their path. What ever you do, let them live free. Santa Fe from behind the camera is all about what I often see next. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;This climbing natural wonder caught my eye as I rounded a corner behind &lt;a href="http://www.riochamasteakhouse.com/"&gt;Rio Chama&lt;/a&gt; on my early morning walk. The restaurant was still asleep and the parking lot empty as I took a walk downtown near our round &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Mexico_State_Capitol"&gt;State Capitol.&lt;/a&gt; This gentle Wisteria vine now with leaves wide awake and gently leaning against an adobe wall whispered &amp;ldquo;make my picture&amp;rdquo; and tell my story. Many of you may know this perennial climbing vine. It has traveled and taken root in many communities in America. What you may not know is its roots are native to China. This time I am turning the table on you with a question you will be asked every time you sit down to eat in one of the many of our Santa Fe restaurants. And I do not mean any of the ubiquitous fast food drive in eating establishments found here too. This one is often the question asked you when you arrive in Santa Fe hungry and ready for our northern New Mexico cuisine. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;span&gt;If you order our classic Huevos Rancheros breakfast meal of eggs, corn tortilla and beans, your wait staff person will immediately ask if you want &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;Red&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt; or &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;Green&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt; The same thing will happen again when you order Enchiladas for lunch or dinner. In fact, this question is practically a law given our New Mexico State legislature made it more or less official in 2009 when a &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.savenmseeds.org/index.php?option=com_content&amp;amp;view=article&amp;amp;id=38:house-joint-resolution-26-the-chile-resolution&amp;amp;catid=2:save-nm-seeds"&gt;&lt;span&gt;Chile Memorial&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span&gt; was introduced in the 50th session. New Mexico home grown Chile like everything else in the United States was being threatened by foreign competition. Now every time you eat in Santa Fe state capitol, you will be asked red or green? In a national election year this can appear confusing at first when the networks and news talk about red and blue. Fortunately chile only comes in two colors!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;span&gt;What is New Mexico chile? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;First it is &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;red &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;or &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;green&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;. Second it is not spelled chili. Chili is different from Chile. The former is a food favorite of our Texas neighbors. The latter is Red or Green. It is a food crop that comes in all shapes and sizes and is primarily red or green. In either color, it can become as addictive as Santa Fe as it releases endorphins when eaten. Sooner or later, when you discover you can not live without it, you will become a Santa Fean.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;span&gt;Now, when asked this question, remember the most common answer is &amp;ldquo;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;Christ&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;mas&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;rdquo; meaning a combination of both &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;red &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;and &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;green&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt; chile.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt; If you can not make up your mind, this is usually the best answer! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;span&gt;If after becoming somewhat addicted to the pleasure of eating our northern New Mexico cuisine and you cannot live without it and thus ready to relocate here or invest in a Chile farm, &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;contact us for experienced professional help and information about our Santa Fe Real Estate market.
