The Santa Fe Trail is a road to opportunity. It began as a wagon train trail connection from the frontier of Missouri to Santa Fe when Santa Fe existed outside the United States as a city in Mexico. From 1821 to 1880, the trail was the a path to a new life in the frontier. Back then the pioneers were not on Facebook or using smartphones. Stories triggered their imagination to guide them West. They left our country to make a difference in their lives by settling in a new frontier without knowing what would happen next. For many, it began as a dream.
Today, the same Santa Fe Trail brings people to Santa Fe to finish their dreams, change their lifestyle and make a difference in a community which was once in Mexico. Now, Santa Fe is in its 402nd year as a community. And in 2012, we are celebrating our 100th year as a State!
The wagons are gone. But I think you can still hear them roll in the image. I know I can.
Now the social networking chatter and images online are probably continuing to trigger those same pioneer spirit dreams in your mind’s eye. If you are still dreaming about Santa Fe, it is a lot easier to settle here now. All you have to do is call me at 505-216-6280 for relocation information. It is that simple to finish a Santa Fe dream!
The Santa Fe real estate market is a local one. Real estate news reports and trends in other communities does not apply here. Search all current properties here with a fast and easy list or map search. If you are thinking about selling your home or considering a lifestyle change in relocating to Santa Fe, I suggest you give me a call at 505-660-4541 to schedule a real estate consultation. No one has time or money to waste in this new landscape of real estate. I am available to help you and make a positive difference in your real estate experience. Remember, dreams can be made a reality when you act on them. Emily Medvec

Hi, Emily. GREAT blog. I like you brought the old ideals and the new ways together. I guess we are on the same wave length tonight. I just blogged about our town's Pioneer Town.
Emily, Santa Fe is a great destination to call HOME no matter what your goals! GREAT post!
Absolutely loved my visits to Santa Fe. It should be on everyone's bucket list.
Emily,
Very interesting post. I've not been to Santa Fe but hopefully one of these days!
Bringing the old and the new together..........well done Emily.
Debbie, the pioneer spirit has a way of connecting people...online!
Joan, great to see you here on your recent visit... people come to Santa Fe the easy way now compared to the wagon train form of transportaton!
Kathy, I keep it on my bucketlist daily... why I love living here and helping others do the same!
DeeDee, you are not far. We have many CA transplants here. Let me know why you are coming!
Roger, thank you for you kind words. Today, people live on the Santa Fe Trail, walk their dogs, ride their bikes and often times I've see a rider on horseback. As for the wagons... they look different today.
Lovely. We have art like that in Salida and the way you captured it, showing the styalized and the photo are amazing. Thank you. And, the old and new working together... you definitely are an artist, Emily, among many other things!
There are probably many Maryland retirees that would like to consider Santa Fe for a home purchase. The quality of life that you offer is very appealing.
I posted your blog on my Facebook page.
Emily from the pictures that you have posted in the past Santa Fe still has a lot of territory and opportunity to develop.
Emily,
We really like New Mexico and Santa Fe is a tremendous place. Your blog is an excellent advertisment for you and Santa Fe.
Emily -- I love your connection of the past to the present. Very interesting and well done. Yes, I can hear those wagons roll in that image!
Emily: Great imagery used to prove your point. LOVED it. Your words paint a picture and create an atmosphere ... a very attractive and luring one too. Hopefully Marilyn and I can hop into our wagon and get down your way sometime soon ...
Gene
Paula, thank you for your kind words. I know you encounter that pioneer spirit in Salida!
Roy, thanks for the Facebook push out. Having lived on Capitol Hill for a quarter of century, I can help your Maryland retirees find a second life here off the old Santa Fe Trail.
Barbara. sometimes by connecting the past with the present we create the future. Thank you for stopping by.
Gene, sure you can! Remember during our Fiesta, we have a great show of classic cars (no wagons) on our Historic Plaza. We both know Marilyn would be happy to see them!
Emily, I can hear the horses and the wagons. Celebrating 100 years as a state ... that is certainly a lot of history! Things have certainly changed. One thing for sure, dreams are still alive in all of us.
I have never visited there, but my associate, Suzanne, raves about it. I might have to give that some consideration.
So cool Emily, i need more than chatter to keep up but the Santa Fe trail is the way to go to your doorstop especially if a client wants good care!
